1. Who We Are
This privacy policy applies to the Memory Portals website (this site). It is operated by Marina Gröpel & Daniel Gröpel, trading as noizybutpurple, based in Zürich, Switzerland.
We keep this simple and collect as little as possible:
Email address — if you join the waitlist, your email address is stored with Brevo so we can notify you when Memory Portals open. Nothing else.
Analytics data — we use Matomo, a privacy-respecting analytics platform, to understand how visitors interact with this website. Matomo is configured without cookies (cookieless tracking), anonymises IP addresses, and does not track you across other websites. No advertising data is collected and no cookie consent is required.
Server logs — standard server logs may temporarily record your browser type, IP address and access timestamp for up to 7 days for security purposes.
Personal content you share — when you become a customer, you may share photographs, stories and other personal content. This is used solely to create your Memory Portal and is never shared with third parties.
3. What We Do Not Do
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel or any advertising tracking tools
We do not sell or share your data with third parties
We do not use your email for anything other than Memory Portals communications
We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking
4. How We Use Your Data
Your email address is used only to notify you when Memory Portals launch and to communicate about your order. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email or contacting us directly.
Personal content you share (photographs, stories, memories) is used exclusively to create your Memory Portal. After delivery, we retain a secure copy of your gallery files to support potential future additions, updates or re-prints. This retained content is never shared with third parties and is only accessible to you and the Memory Portals team. You may request deletion of your retained files at any time.
5. Data Storage
Waitlist email addresses are stored securely with Brevo. Personal content shared during the creation process is retained securely after delivery to support potential future additions, updates or re-prints. You may request deletion of your retained content at any time by contacting us.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
Matomo Analytics — privacy-respecting website analytics. Cookieless tracking, anonymised data only. No advertising network. Matomo Privacy Policy.
Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) — used to store waitlist emails and send communications. Your email is used solely for Memory Portals messages. Brevo Privacy Policy.
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:
If we make significant changes to this policy, we will notify waitlist members by email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
