We believe in full transparency. If you have any questions about these terms, please reach out before purchasing — we're happy to explain anything. info@memoryportals.noizybutpurple.com
Memory Portals are unique, handcrafted creative services. Each Memory Portal is individually designed and created based on your personal memories, story and vision. Memory Portals are created by Marina Gröpel & Daniel Gröpel, trading as noizybutpurple, based in Zürich, Switzerland.
Every Memory Portal is individually manufactured to your personal specifications. As such, the standard consumer right of withdrawal (14-day return right) does not apply, in accordance with applicable Swiss and EU consumer protection law (§ 312g Abs. 2 Nr. 1 BGB / Art. 16 lit. c Consumer Rights Directive).
We do everything we can to make sure you're delighted with the result — and we'll revise until you are. That said, if you need to cancel, the following applies:
We take this seriously and therefore ensure that no work begins without your explicit approval of the scope, and that the artwork is shared with you for review before it is finalised.
Each Memory Portal includes:
Your memories, photographs and personal content always remain yours. Upon completion of your Memory Portal, you receive a USB stick containing all source files — your digital gallery, your photos, your stories. If the Memory Portals service ever becomes unavailable, your files are safe, intact and can be re-uploaded or accessed independently. The physical artwork remains on your wall permanently.
noizybutpurple will host your digital gallery for the expected lifetime of the Memory Portals service. We do not guarantee indefinite hosting. In the event of service discontinuation, we will provide a minimum of 30 days' advance notice, during which you can download and save your gallery content.
Your USB stick ensures permanent access to your files regardless of service status. This is our permanent guarantee to you.
If you prefer complete independence from our service, self-hosting is also possible — you can host your digital gallery on your own server using the files provided on your USB stick. We provide support for self-hosting setup upon request.
Technical support is included for issues arising directly from the creation and initial setup of your Memory Portal. Major platform updates, third-party compatibility changes or future technical modifications are not covered under this service. Your USB stick is your permanent backup and ensures your memories are never dependent on any platform. Self-hosting support is available upon request.
We will never finalise your artwork or digital gallery without your approval. Regardless of package, we revise both until you are completely satisfied with the result. Everything is shared with you before it is finalised, and we work together until it feels right.
Physical Memory Portals are currently shipped within Europe. Delivery timelines from the point all materials are provided:
If you are based outside Europe, please get in touch — we'll do our best to find a solution.
Payment is agreed directly after your discovery consultation. Full payment is required before the creation process begins. Payment details are provided by invoice.
The abstract artwork created for your Memory Portal is an original work by noizybutpurple (Marina Gröpel & Daniel Gröpel). You receive a personal, non-commercial licence to display, share and enjoy it. The artwork may not be reproduced commercially without written consent.
Your personal photographs, stories and memories remain your property at all times. noizybutpurple does not claim ownership over any content you provide.
